Peter van Dijk The Mattheus de Crane organ in the Hervormde Kerk in Waspik
Het ORGEL 113 (2017), nr. 5, 12-26 [summary]

The De Crane organ (1767) in the Hervormde Kerk in Waspik was restored in 2014/2015 by J.C. (Hans) van Rossum of Andel/Wijk en Aalburg. The organ case was repainted in the original colors by Gerard de Jongh of Waardenburg. Various parts of the job (incl. making the bellows & frame) were, following the directions of the organ builder, conducted in-house. Consultant was Peter van Dijk of Utrecht, in cooperation with Wim Diepenhorst (RCE). The organ was officially re-inaugurated on 28 May, 2015.
The article treats the history of the builder and the organ using precise archival research. The restorations of 1957-8 and 2014-5 are given extensive attention. The pedal board is discussed.
